At Real Life, we're serious about the word "community". In today's society, it is SO easy to feel isolated, disconnected and forgotten. We've discovered that the remedy for this sense of isolation is a relationship with God and a connection to a loving, affirming family of faith. That is what we strive to be here; not an organization, not a "religious group", but a caring family of believers living out our faith together. Here are the words from our church family...
My family was at the hospital dealing with heavy medical issues when I first met Jared. He introduced himself as the pastor of Real Life church, he asked if there was anything he could do for us and if he could pray with us. His approach and prayer hit my heart like no other. I immediately knew I wanted to visit his church.
The church is exactly "Real Life" no fancy footwork by anyone, it is genuine. Jared shares and teaches the Bible in a way that is easy to relate to. Come as you are.. dressed however you want...worship the Lord however you need...just show up and you will feel Christ moving in a "Real Life" way.
The Church is exactly that, Real Life. I have been a Christian for 38 years and I have always had a burning desire for Christ. Along the way, I had my fair share of trials and mistakes. Please remember all through scripture it says it will not be easy but it will be worth it if you live our lives in His image. We face many trials. One of my biggest mistakes brought me to Real Life Church. Pastor Jared embraced both me and my issue. The love and compassion of Jesus opened my eyes through both Pastor Jared and my Church family was heaven sent. It not only changed my heart, it changed my life. I have since broke many barriers in my walk with God and for that I am ever grateful. I’m a child of the King.
Up until I met Pastor Jared at a Luvability fund-raising event, I had rarely attended church. It wasn't something my family did unless there was a wedding - or a funeral. Ever since I was a child, I have always had a very deep faith and been innately spiritual - but my "church education" was non-existent, at best. With time, Jared and I became friends, but he never pushed me to come to his church. He encouraged me, and made me feel welcome whenever I was ready - but never pushed. We had a few conversations over the course of a year, shared our experiences with each other (like the rare occasion that I attended children's church as a 5 year old and was teased mercilessly when I innocently asked the Bible School teacher, "who is Jesus?"), and he answered every question I asked him with an authentic and compassionate response. With time, I began to trust that I wasn't going to be teased, judged, or ridiculed when I finally walked through the doors of the Y. I ventured in one Sunday morning with my close friends, so I felt protected and safe - and the look on Pastor Jared's face when he saw me in the seat behind him convinced me that I was in the right place. I have never felt more at home anywhere in my life, and with this newly acquired church family I continue to learn and grow in my faith. I will be forever grateful for finding Real Life.
What can I say? This "Real Life" Church is just what is says that it is! For "Real Life" people.
The sermons are about what goes on in MY "Real Life" and helps me stay closer to God and what I believe are to be the truth in and with Him...
Pastor Jared came into my life at a questioning time. Questions about God, life and the choices we make every day. He has helped to bring me closer to the Trinity and sometimes we just need that help to get our lives back where they need to be.
I would totally encourage anyone, from any walk of life, who wants to check out this church to DO IT!
Come as you are, don't expect miracles, sometimes they just show up! They did in my life and I am pretty positive where and how they came to me.
We started at Real Life Church 7.5 years ago. I absolutely love this church and the people in it, they bless me weekly. We are a small group of people that love Jesus and I'm so glad to be a part of it.
One day several years ago I had a very hard time trying to make ends meet with only very little finances, very little food, and needed so badly for a change in my life. As always I continue to pray to God through it all. Once again he came through with flying colors for me and he always let me know that I'm not alone no matter what happens in my life he will always be there for me. Sometimes it's not until you have your hardest test in life that you finally realize that you do have someone on your side and you can always ask him for help because he always knows what you need anyway. Whatever happens in your life remember one thing God loves you now and he will always love you to the end. God not only blessed me with all the things that I thought that I was missing in life he blessed me above and beyond my wildest dreams and made all my dreams come true. Yes we will still have test in our lives but we've always got a remember from where we came from. All of us have the breath of life and us and God alone has given that to us for a brief moment because one day he will come and claim that breath and we will return back to him for judgment. That's why it counts to get right with God now so that you will always be with him for eternity.
My husband and I started attending Real Life Church about a year ago. I have been so thankful to be part of a Church with a loving Pastor who is also anointed to teach God's word. He is real,
the people are real and we have been so blessed to be part of this family of believers. I love the community outreaches, Wednesday night Bible Study/fellowship, Pastor Jared and the people at Real Life. I wouldn't want to be any place else. The Lord is doing great things in Niles and we are thrilled to be a part of it.
