                                                                   Hidden in God
Greetings in the name of Jesus. Mark 4:14 the sower sows the word.
No matter where we live, no matter where we go, without God there is no safety. But as born again believers, we have security because God is looking out for us. Psalms 91 says so. Verse 1,2,4, he that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord. He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him I will trust… He shall cover me with His feathers, and under His wings I shall trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. John 17:17 sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
To live free while we are here on earth, we must know the truth of God’s covenant promises to us in Christ, and use that truth like a shield and a buckler. How do we use the truth like a shield and a buckler? By trusting in what God has said in His word. So we must know what He has said in His word by meditating in it day and night Joshua 1:8. Meditate means to ponder, to mutter, to think about. Proverbs 18:10 AMP The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the { consistently } righteous man {upright and in right standing with God} runs into it and is safe, high {above evil} and strong. When we meditate God’s word, His word will become the first thing that we think about in any situation so we can speak them in faith. Romans 10:17 so then faith comes by hearing and by hearing the word of God.
Luke 17: the apostles ask Jesus to increase their faith, verse 6 says if you had faith as a seed you would say… Jesus said we must do something to increase our faith, our faith has to be planted to grow. We plant it by saying it. Matthew 6:31 Jesus tells us not to take thought saying. Is this a contradiction of His word? NO He is telling us not to say things in worry. Such as what shall we wear, eat, or drink. What He is saying is our words are very important, they can benefit us, or hurt us. Proverbs 18:21 death and life are in the power of the tongue.  When we use His word it becomes our shield and our fortress.
We are in this world, but we are not of this world. John 16:33 Jesus says these things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace, in the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.
Proverbs 21:30-31 AMP there is no {human} wisdom or understanding or counsel [that can prevail] against the Lord.  Deliverance and victory are of the Lord. Jeremiah 42:11-12 NIV Do not be afraid…declares the Lord, for I am with you and will save you and deliver you…I will show you compassion. Galatians 1:3-4 KJV our Lord Jesus Christ…gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God our father.
The Psalmist David prayed several prayers asking God to keep, protect, and deliver him from many troubles. We can pray these same prayers for us and our families. Psalm 17: 6,8-9 O God…keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of your wings, from the wicked that oppress me, from my deadly enemies, who compass me about. Psalm 27:5 in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: in the secret of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me up upon a rock. Psalm 32:7 You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Psalm 57:1NIV I will take refuge in the shadow or Your wings until the disaster has passed. This is just a few of the psalms that we can look to for comfort, praise and prayer. Read out loud so you can hear it, Psalm 91 every day and you will begin to believe it for you and your families protection while you are in this world. With everything that is going on we need His protection.
